Last updated 13 June 2026. This policy explains how TrainSkool (operating trainskool.com) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use our Platform. We follow the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Data we collect

We collect: (a) account data you provide — your name, email address and password (stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text); (b) for instructors, your professional profile and the course content you publish; (c) learning data — enrollments, lesson progress, assessment attempts, results, certificates and questions you post; (d) transaction data — the courses you purchase, amounts and payment reference (payment card and banking details are handled by our payment gateway, not by us); and (e) technical data such as basic log and device information needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to create and secure your account, deliver purchased courses, record assessment and certification evidence, process payments and refunds, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations. We send transactional emails (such as email verification, password reset and purchase confirmations). We do not sell your personal data.

3. Sharing with service providers

We share the minimum data necessary with trusted processors who help us operate: Razorpay (payment processing), our video delivery provider (secure lesson streaming), our email provider (transactional email), and our hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations. We may disclose data where required by law.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect requests against cross-site forgery. We do not use cookies to sell your data to advertisers.

5. Data security and retention

We apply technical and organisational safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, signed and expiring video access, server-side sessions and access controls. We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, accounting and integrity purposes (for example, certificate verification and transaction records).

6. Your rights

You may access, correct or update your account information, request a copy of your data, or request deletion of your account, subject to records we must retain by law. To exercise these rights, email support@trainskool.com.

7. Grievance contact

For any privacy question, complaint or data-protection request, contact our grievance contact at support@trainskool.com. We aim to acknowledge requests within 48 hours and resolve them within a reasonable period.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change. Significant changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email where appropriate.
